LANGUAGE ARTS:
Sarah, Plain and Tall - In this WebQuest you will keep a journal, review vocabulary
from the story and write an additional chapter to the novel.
Searchlight Showdown: Planning A Dogsled Race---To help in planning
this exciting event, each team member will become an expert on the Alaskan
Iditarod and will work on one of the planning committees to make this race a big
success.
I Want a Pet---You have been given the opportunity to talk your
parents into letting you have a pet - something you have wanted for a long time!
In order to be successful in persuading your parents, you will need to do some
research on one of the animals available.

SCIENCE:
Cloud Quest---study the different types of clouds as you become a meteorologist.
Human Body---You will explore the systems of the human body.
Adaptations Adventure!---You will explore different aspects of animal adaption.
Water Cycle---You will travel through the water
cycle, learning about evaporation, condensation, and precipitation.
Web Quest on Plants---learn about the parts of a plant.
SOCIAL STUDIES:
Native
American WebQuest---research the differences
and similarities between the Plains and Coastal Indians from the 1800s.
Journey
to Colonial Times---
You will experience life as a colonial person. They will each create a
tri-fold brochure to share what they learn.
Where in the United States is Flat Stanley?---Flat Stanley has been kidnapped from our 4th grade classroom. You
will use the clues to find Flat Stanley. The clues lead you to four
different cities around the U.S, where you will find facts about those
four cities.
Animals of the Oregon Trail---This is a 4th grade animal science unit that integrates our Oregon
Trail unit as well as many other types of curriculum. Students research
an animal of the Oregon Trail and include a culminating presentation.
MATH:
Chocolate Chip Cookies: To Eat or Not To Eat!---A team of four students work together to solve a mystery. Two are
Scientists and two are Researchers. They work with the science process,
math calculation, an issue report, build and design a science display
board, etc. to solve the mystery.
Shop 'til You Drop---You will be working with members of your group
to purchase outfits for your family. Each group member will be assigned a
specific role, but all members of the group must be included in the decision
making process. Happy shopping!
Tippy Canoes
and You, Too---You and your friends are going to
plan a float and camping trip for the neighborhood. You will need to
investigate which campground offers the best deals and activities.
Whichever outfitter is chosen, you will then create a brochure to distribute
among your neighbors.
