Welcome
to the 2007 school year! There
are 22 children in our 4th grade classroom. We have 10 girls
and 12 boys. We also have a hamster named Chester who sleeps most of the day. I am looking forward to a very rewarding
year with my students. We will have a fun and exciting year full
of learning and growing together.

I
would like to begin by telling you a little about myself.
I
graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in May of
1992. I received a double major in elementary education and
special education. I was hired to teach 2nd grade at Bartley Public
School in 1992 and 1993. I have been teaching in the Cambridge Public
Schools
for the past 12 years. I am married to Mike
Mousel and we live on a farm west of Cambridge. I have three children
Amber 31, Brett 27, and Andrew 25. They are all still single and I
enjoy spending as much time as I can with them. I also have three
step-children Madison 14, Mason 13, and Trey 9. I spend
a lot of time walking with my two pomeranians, Buster and
Sable. I also coach varsity volleyball.

 In
May of 2007, I was honored to have been chosen to receive the "McCook Area Educator of the
Year Award". This award is given to an area educator selected by the
education committee of the McCook Area Chamber of Commerce. I was truly humbled by this award.

Judy Mousel, chosen as the 2007 McCook Area
Educator of the Year, is a popular teacher among students at Cambridge
Elementary. Joining her are some of her past and present students,
front, Caleb Moyer, back from left, Taylor Kubik, Mousel and Kelby
Feddern.
