On Wednesday, September 24, the Cambridge Public Schools will have parent-teacher conferences. The conferences will begin at 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.
It is important that parents attend the conference to get to know their child's teacher and learn about their child's curriculum. Parents need to be willing to discuss their child's strengths and weaknesses as it pertains to school. This would be a good time to visit with the teacher about his/her homework policies, reading scores, discipline procedures, daily schedule, Friday Folders, grading procedures, special services your child may receive, plus many more topics
A list of questions should be prepared ahead of time concerning the child's attitude, social behavior, behavior in school, the child's present progress, study habits and many more. By being prepared to exchange information about your child, it will help both the parent and the teacher to do what is best for the child.
Please be aware that there will be NO SCHOOL this Wednesday, September 24, due to these conferences. This is an early reminder that the Cambridge Public Schools will not have school on Wednesday, October 8, for a teacher in-service/workday.
